Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority, Future Vehicle Investment Promotion Activities in Seoul

Participating in the '2024 Global Supply Chain Innovation Expo (GSC KOREA 2024, hereafter GSC 2024)' held at COEX in Seoul from June 19 to 21, promoting 'Gwangju, the city of future vehicles,' and seeking to attract corporate investments.
GSC 2024, previously held as the 'Material, Parts, and Equipment Small and Medium Business Expo,' has been expanded and reorganized to enhance the international competitiveness of the material, parts, and equipment industries and establish a stable global supply chain. It is held concurrently with 'Smart Tech Korea,' the largest future-leading technology business exhibition in Korea.
The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority operates a joint promotion booth with the Gwangju Insititute of Green-Car Advancement(GIGA) and Gwangju Techno-park. They focus on explaining Gwangju's investment environment in the future mobility sector to domestic and international companies and actively engaging in corporate attraction activities.
In particular, they highlight the competitiveness of the local industry, including the automotive industry infrastructure centered on the Future Automotive Industry Disctrict (Bitgreen National Industrial Complex) and the designation of specialized complexes for materials, parts, and equipment. They provide specific information on investment conditions and incentives through 1:1 customized consultations for participating companies and focus on promoting Gwangju as a 'leading city in future mobility.‘
Seog-ki Sun, Commissioner of the Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority, said, "Gwangju is well-equipped with research and testing infrastructure for future vehicles in line with the trend of transitioning to future cars," and added, "We will actively engage in investment promotion activities to attract automotive-related companies to Gwangju.“
