Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority (GJFEZ) is actively engaging in investment promotion activities, including an investment briefing session for automotive industry companies, from July 1st to 3rd in Nagoya, Japan.

This investment promotion activity in Nagoya is aimed at publicizing Gwangju's future mobility industry and the Gwangju Free Economic Zone, with the goal of identifying promising investment companies based in Nagoya, Japan.

Nagoya is a prominent automotive industry city in Japan, with a concentration of companies related to automotive parts, centered around the global corporation Toyota Motor.

With the cooperation of the KOTRA Nagoya Trade Office, GJFEZ held a round-table discussion with promising automotive parts companies in the Nagoya area. During the discussion, GJFEZ introduced the investment environment and incentives of Gwangju's future mobility industry and worked on building networks.

Additionally, GJFEZ is conducting an investment promotion briefing session and one-on-one business consultation visits with automotive parts companies, financial institutions, and related organizations in Nagoya.

During the investment promotion briefing, Gwangju's excellent location and unique investment environment were introduced, focusing on the support infrastructure such as the Eco-Friendly Automotive Parts Certification Center and Eco-Friendly Automotive Parts Cluster in the Future Automotive Industry District (Bitgreen National Industrial Complex), as well as the designation of the Future Automotive National Industrial Complex and the Special Zone for Materials, Parts, and Equipment.

In particular, the success story of ‘Korea Alps’, a Japanese automotive parts company that has entered Gwangju, was presented to heighten interest among Japanese companies.

GJFEZ plans to continue customized management for the potential investment companies identified through this activity, striving to achieve substantial investment attraction results.

Seog-ki Sun, Commissioner of the Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, “Through this activity, we will actively promote Gwangju’s future mobility industry, identify promising investment companies, and build a continuous network to successfully attract investments.”
